Townhouse attached garage fire on Yarrow Ln, Rolling Meadows.

Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:22 AM Sunday December 31, 2017 to a report of an attached garage fire in a townhouse at 2503 Yarrow Lane Rolling Meadows, Il. The first crew on arrival reported smoke showing and upgraded the response to a Code 4 Working Fire Response by 7:26 a.m.

The fire was quickly knocked by the first crews on the scene. The fire was contained to the garage, and vehicles and contents inside the garage. There was no extension to the living space. The townhouse was occupied at the time of the fire with no injuries reported.

There were no operating smoke detectors at the time of the fire, as the batteries in the smoke detector were dead.

Air Temperature was 1°F with a -7°F wind chill at the time of the fire, according to the National Weather Service observation station at O’Hare International Airport. At least one fire hydrant appeared to be frozen.
