Rolling Meadows police received a report Sunday that a man attempted to lure a 12-year-old girl into his car about 10:00 a.m. Sunday. Rolling Meadows police released a sketch of a man based on a description of the man that the 12-year-old girl reports tried to get her into his car.
Police released the report that the girl was walking across a parking lot near Barker Avenue and Algonquin Road when she saw a vehicle driving towards her. Police say the vehicle was occupied by only the driver, who asked the girl if she needed a ride. When she ignored him, the driver demanded that she get in the car. The 12-year-old girl ran away and the suspect fled the scene at high speed in the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s with a thin build and short, spiked hair. Police say he was wearing a red Chicago Bulls tank top jersey with a white t-shirt underneath, as well as a silver necklace with a circular shaped pendant.
The vehicle used by the suspect is described as a silver four-door sedan with body damage on the right front and right rear of the vehicle. The make and model was not specified.
