Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:04 AM Wednesday March 6, 2019 to a report of a crash with a large fuel leak at Algonquin Road and Old Wilke Road Rolling Meadows, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a crash involving a Ford box truck and a Chevrolet with a large fuel leak and a light pole down.
The fire department activated a Hazmat Level 1 response to resolve the hazards associated with the fuel leak.
The crash was also reported on Waze. Westbound Algonquin Road was blocked and/or seriously obstructed and backed up to the west Walmart driveway. Old Wilke Road/Weber Drive was also backed up to Central Road. A pole was across all lanes of Algonquin Road.
Initially there was no confirmation of any injuries at the crash.
